i had a few friends that went to the river here in central kansas to do some fishing, unfortunately i could not go because i was out of town, but they caught 25 fish in several hours, the bggest was a 14 pound flathead and they also caught a 9 pound channel cat, all were caught in the river using minnows. Not sure yet exactly what river but i am assuming it was the saline river. I wish i was there.
